March in East Sussex is a time of transformation and excitement as the first signs of spring begin to appear. This month is not only a herald of new beginnings but also a time to celebrate the special women in our lives as Mother’s Day approaches.

So, whether you’re looking to treat your mum to a memorable day out or simply enjoy the seasonal splendour, East Sussex is brimming with activities and events to put a spring in your step this March

Mother’s Day Activities in Sussex

On the 10th March, we celebrate the mums and mother figures in our lives, and a family day out or activity is the perfect way to make them feel special.

Mums can enjoy free entry to Amberley Museum this Mother’s Day and can get involved with various volunteer-led activities happening across the Museum, including operating a manual switchboard, driving one of their smaller diesel locomotives and making a keepsake in the pottery and print shop or woodturners (pre-booking admission essential).

If mum loves crafting, then she’ll love the Creative Escapes Courses at West Dean. She can paint, print, carve and more while surrounded by stunning South Downs scenery.

How about treating her to a Forest Bathing at Wakehurst, where she can reconnect with nature and unwind from the stresses of everyday life. Based on the Japanese art of Shinrin-yoku, forest bathing will allow her to slow down as she’s immersed in the forest environment.

Of course, there’s a whole host of other wonderful family days out in East Sussex that you can all enjoy together, and we know she’ll love the quality time with you.
