Great British Summer Savings in Sussex

A Guide to Sussex Attraction Deals This Summer

With the Great British Summer Savings, days out across Sussex are more affordable than ever.

Whether you’re planning a wildlife adventure, a wander through gardens, or a fun-filled day of fairground rides, this summer is one of the best ever to explore Sussex with the family.

What is the Great British Summer Savings?

The government’s Great British Summer Savings initiative has been designed to make family days out more affordable this summer. Two new measures are in place from 25 June to 1 September 2026.

The first is a UK-wide VAT cut, reducing VAT from 20% to 5% on children’s restaurant meals, children’s tickets for theatres, cinemas, and exhibitions, and admission to attractions including soft play, amusement parks, and museums. If attractions are taking part, the savings are applied automatically online or at the till.

The second measure applies to England outside London: free bus travel for children aged 5 to 15 on local bus services throughout August. Whether it’s getting to a day out, visiting family, or simply getting around, the bus is on the government this summer. You can find bus routes near you on GOV.UK.

Sussex’s Top Attractions are making the most of it. Here’s your complete guide to who’s taking part, plus exclusive STA discount codes to help you save even more.
