Ahoy me hearties, are ye ready to become a pirate this May half term and join in the swashbuckling nature fun at Standen? Put on your favourite pirate costume and explore the woodlands on the nature treasure chest scavenger hunt, whilst discovering fun pirate facts along the way.

Meeting point: Collect your egg box and trail sheet from the marquee by the new barn.
What to bring and wear: Wear appropriate clothing for the weather, whilst we hope the weather stays dry it may be wise to bring wellies.
Accessibility: This treasure hunt is in the woods, so please bear in mind there are uneven surfaces, hills and streams.
Time: 10am-4pm

Morris & Co - Inspired by Nature

This summer a new exhibition at Standen House & Garden explores the inspiration behind the popular patterns of flowers and birds in designs by Arts & Crafts firm Morris & Co. From Saturday 1 June until Sunday 10 November 2019. William Morris (1834-1896), founding father of the Arts and Crafts Movement in Britain, designed some of the most recognisable textile patterns of the nineteenth century. The creative force behind Morris & Co., which produced his designs, Morris had a love of nature which influenced his work. Discover the world of Morris & Co. at Standen in this new exhibition throughout the house, garden and estate.

Accessibility: Standen is a hillside property with steep steps throughout the garden, therefore can be difficult for wheelchairs/pushchairs to access.
