Passion & Waves: An Exhibition by Zed Talijan

South Downs Heritage Centre

Brighton Rd, Hassocks

10th February 2018 - 3rd March 2018

Zed Zdravko Talijan – An art ExhibitionPassion & Waves - where abstract and reality meet

Born 1961 and raised in former Yugoslavia Zed completed his studies in Political Sciences at the University of Sarajevo.

He worked as a journalist before moving to France where he lived and worked for a period of time. For the past 15 years he has settled down in West Sussex where he discovered a need to paint and embarked on a journey which took him exhibiting and selling his work in the UK and some European countries.

β€œIn my work, I like to look for the point where abstracts and realities meet. In that undefined space is created a visual freedom that plays between different interpretations. That stillness is very often awakened with the movement of smoke, cloud and steam, which is a recognised motif in my work.”

Passion and Waves is open daily in The CUBE Gallery from the 10th February to the 4th March.

The Nortehr Lights

South Downs Planetarium

Sir Patrick Moore Building, Kingsham Farm, Kingsham Rd, Chichester PO19 8AE

23rd February 2018 - 23rd March 2018

ourney north to the frozen wastes of the Arctic Circle and watch electrified particles from the Sun spiraling down into the upper atmosphere, where they generate the wonderful colours of the Aurora Borealis or 'Northern Lights'

Come to the Planetarium to understand how eruptions on the Sun cause displays of the Northern Lights, and how these are visible from the ground as faint glows, coloured arcs or, at their most spectacular, coloured rays and bands of auroral light dancing back and forth across the night sky.

Find out when are the best times to see the Northern Lights, where the best places are to see them, and when they might once again be visible from Southern England.
